"When I First Found Out, I Hurt All Over" ("Did The Chicken Cross The Road?" Promo)

There's a promo commercial out for this Wednesday's episode already, and Alex's story at least shows up for a change.  And that may not be all:

Right at the beginning we see Alex confronting Phil about his past, and it looks like she's going to be unhappy about that past in and of itself.  Whether or not it also costs her that government job (and how she will react to that) remains to be seen.

Given that we've rarely seen an Alex story even get mentioned in these promos (for the most recent one we might actually have to go all the way back to a secondary promo made for "Under Pressure" which I'm dying to find online), I'm happy about them doing that, even if it ultimately turns bad for Alex.

But there may be one more momentous, if not particularly likely, event revealed.  Well, it will be momentous for someone, but for Alex?

At the very end the commercial fades to black and we hear a female voice say "you're pregnant".

Now before everyone starts "oohing" and "ahhing", I think the odds that it's Alex are slim.

First of all, Alex already has a story that would be totally unrelated to this possibility, and while that alone does not preclude her life taking a different left turn in the same episode (she could suddenly get sick while in the middle of her other tribulations), I just don't think the show would do that (but I would not mind being proven wrong).

On top of that, Haley does have another story involving Dylan this week, about the two of them maybe starting to grow up at least a little bit.  That idea would certainly be at least aided by now being put in the position of having to raise a child in the near future, and might even be caused by it (though the voiceover in the promo hints that the revelation comes at the end - i.e. after any decision to become more mature).

Still, even if it is Haley (right now I'd say the chance is about 90 percent), it would be interesting to see Alex's reaction in the coming weeks -hopefully she'll be supportive.  And, maybe Haley having a kid leaves Alex wondering if it's time for her and Bill to start making their own future plans?
