"Great Expectations, Everybody's Watching You" (First Impressions - "Winner Winner Turkey Dinner" - Season 9, Episode 7)

So we're going to have another Thanskgiving episode this year, airing in two weeks - here's the press release.

What role Alex plays in this one will depend on just what is meant by "everyone" in this sentence:

"During Jay’s Thanksgiving toast, he honors the entire family on their recent successes, even though everyone knows that isn’t quite true."

Now if everyone only means the adults (quite possible - it would be hard to keep track of 11 different stories of underachievements) then Alex really won't have much to do.   But if everyone really does have a story of failure, then I think Alex could easily fare the worst of everyone (i.e. Jay reacts most harshly in some form about Alex failing than anyone else), since so much is always expected of her by everyone (including Jay, who has already planned on Alex being the family leader someday - could this diminish her in his eyes).

Of course, it could also be a group failure (e.g. Alex, Haley and Luke are involved in the same success that really isn't).

If you're waiting for the pre-show post for this week's episode, it's coming later this morning.  Don't expect a very deep one though.
