"Bah-Bah-Bah-Bah-Bah Humbug(?)" (First Impressions - "No Small Feet" - Season 9, Episode 10)

So much for a Christmas episode this season, apparently - while the other ABC shows on December 13th have holiday-themed episodes, it appears that Modern Family won't, based off what I see (and don't) in the press release for that night's episode.  (There is a potential spoiler in an Alex story in this episode that might portend something that might happen next week, and it might at least indirectly involve Alex so click the above link or "Read more" below at your own risk).  There is not one mention of any holiday stories or theme in it.

All is not lost though - as I said at least Alex has a story:

"Meanwhile, Luke and Alex stumble upon a successful online business that finally gets them on their feet,"

First of all, what has taken Alex so long to find a successful online business?  Heck, Haley started making a little money with a fashion blog four years ago.

The bigger takeaway from this (i.e. the potential spoiler) is the last part about Luke and Alex finally getting on their feet.  Does this foreshadow trouble when Phil leaves the real estate office next week, and how that could affect Alex's plans (and forces her and Luke to find their own way to make money)?

It may (and hopefully will) be more reading into something that really isn't there on my part, but it does make next week a bit more interesting, if not quite in a good way.
