“Hope My Boyfriend Don't Mind It”

Whatever microscopic chance of an Alex-less episode there might have been is no more, as Alex was in the promo commercial for tonight's “Kiss And Tell”1, albeit it was a blink and you'll miss it moment again.   Foreshadowing the rest of the episode, anyone?

Anticipation Level: Low. Unless Alex is in a hidden story tonight, a streak of second episodes of the season with an Alex story will end, either at four or five, depending on whether you consider the story of Cam as Alex's substitute teacher in “First Days” (the second Season 5 episode) as one.   That's debatable, since Alex was barely seen in the second half of that episode (one quick moment of her back at home frantically studying, a moment that was foreshadowing something huge ten episodes later).

Back to tonight, I'm not really expecting a surprise, hence the “Low” rating.  And that's being a bit generous.

Emotional Moment Potential: Very Low. Unless Alex gets involved with Haley's story (highly unlikely given Haley's already going to be seeking out Mitch and Cam's advice) again I don't see anything here.

Game Changing Potential: Very Low. Nothing really this week. Next week, on the other hand, could be borderline interesting, even if Alex isn't there (I'll elaborate then).

In Which Story Do I Want To See Alex Be A Part?  Part of me wants Alex to get a little very delayed payback for Haley sticking her nose in Alex's business eight years ago in “The Kiss” (the second episode of Season 2), just because this season's title has the word “Kiss” in it too.  But the rest of me wants any scene between the two of them to be nice (IOW, more like Season 7's second act, “The Day Alex Left For College”).  Again, though, I don't think anything will happen.

Are There Any Other Questions? Drawing blanks again.

Back at you tonight, as usual.

1 I know Haley didn't kiss a girl, but since she does have reservations about telling the professor about her meeting with Dylan last week I felt the post title line fit.
