"Shadow Dancing, All This And Nothing More(?)" (First Impressions - "Yes-Woman" - Season 10, Episode 19)

Well, apparently for one week, that amswer is "no" - it looks like Alex will finally get out of Haley's shadow1, at least for a little while:

"Meanwhile, Phil tries to surprise Alex at school right before she receives an award she didn’t tell him about..."

There's one thing weird sounding about this:  I'm not exactly sure what kind of story can come from this.  Are they going to have Phil come in and somehow inadvertently cause Alex embarrassment on what figures to be a big moment for her?  (It wouldn't be the first time.)  And is that possibility a reason for Alex to start hiding things from her family (i.e. she knows if one or more of them were to show up at a ceremony she fears they'll do something to embarrass her)?

Even at that, it does feel like this sets up another beautiful ending between the two of them.  But I'm definitely not saying that like it's a bad thing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 I know Alex had a story a couple of weeks ago where Haley wasn't around where she was trying to nip a potential marriage proposal from Bill in the bud, so technically she wasn't totally in her shadow.  But I do feel like there is a bit of intertwining between Alex and Bill's relationship and Haley and Dylan's (and if not quite now then probably by the end of the season there will be), so even then I'd say that story was in at least a partial eclipse.
