“Top Coat, Top Hat” (“Ringmaster Keifth” Recap)

So after having to wait until this morning to download last night's episode from iTunes, putting it on my iPod then having to go through a lot more hoops than I feel I should have to get Apple's new “TV” app to let me watch it, I finally got around to seeing this 12 hours after it aired. But was it worth the wait?

In a word, meh. The story about Alex and Haley at a music festival1 never really got a chance to happen – it was just an excuse to get them out of the house while accidentally taking Gloria's bag with Manny's college fund money.

Even the revelation that Alex is allergic to peanuts was little more than a throwaway gag at the end of the show. Of course, given that Alex already had to deal with mono this season that probably wasn't such a bad thing.

Alex's Line Of The Night: ”Oh no, he (Cam) wouldn't put nuts in it – he knows I'm allergic.” Oops.

(Sorry – the pickings were slim this week.)

And that's about that (at least Alex was there unlike the last episode) – now I just have to hope against hope this dispute gets settled before next Wednesday.

1I'm not even sure why Alex would be that interested in a 90s themed music festival – she was born at the tail end of the decade (1998), and, honestly, the music of that decade was mostly forgettable IMO.
